Let’s face it, by now, you’ve probably got cabin fever, so why not put all the excess energy to good use by sorting out your house? When’s the last time you reorganised your wardrobe? Is it colour coded? Should it be? Ask yourself “When is the last time I wore this?”, “Does this even still fit me?”, “Am I likely to EVER wear this again?! These are the questions you’ll find yourself pondering.
Now’s the time for decluttering your drawers, putting your bookcase in order and clearing out your garage – when else will you get an opportunity like this? And it’s not just about whiling away the hours. Doing something, accomplishing something, will give you a sense of purpose and make your time at home feel a little more productive. You can even help! There are lots of people and charity shops out there that can turn your unwanted items into cash, or perhaps your clothes are desperately needed. What could be better than to allow someone to enjoy your previously loved clothes. Much better use than taking up space in your wardrobe.
The picture is a slight exaggeration, but if you are anything like me, you will have amassed a million books. I have so many books, I don´t have enough space to display them, and actually there are really only a few that I would choose to keep. All they do is gather dust! If you love reading, you could organise a book swapping club. This could be in the form of an online book review club for the moment, and people could request a list of books from each other based on each others reviews. These could be kept to one side and delivered at a later date. That way you may never have to buy books again, or you can donate them to charity – or even when all this is over, you could have a car boot sale and make some money from all the items you came across during your de-clutter! There is even one bar near us that has a small selection of books available for you to read while you are there, or to pay a donation for their chosen charity and you can take it home with you.
