The thing about staying in is that it just makes us want to go outside. And it’s easy to see why – green spaces, mountains, and the sound of the sea can improve our mood, ease stress and help us relax, something we all took for granted just a short time ago, but most likely crave right now.
The good news is that while we have to stay home, we don’t have to stay in. Most of us here in Spain, are lucky enough to have a little outdoor space. If you have a terrace, start organising it for the summer months, do you have any plants that have been neglected, or even some of the supermarkets such as Aldi and Lidl have stocks of seeds and bulbs for plants and vegetables. If you don´t have any outdoor space, this is also perfect to prepare as a window box to brighten up the room. Open your windows to let in fresh air, position your furniture so you can see outside. If you have a garden, you can go outside and revel in nature. This is the perfect time to put those green fingers to good use with a spot of gardening.
Whilst we are only allowed to venture out a very short distance simply to take out the rubbish or allow our dogs to do their business, it seems our other neighbours are taking full advantage or the streets around our houses and are venturing out into the now quiet roads.
